Normans woe may be the nicest dive in New England once you get in the water. But to get in the water you have to put up with some of the more difficult aspects of other dives around here. Combine the walk from Halibut with the climb from Cathedral and the entry/exit from Magnolia on a rough day and you have Normans. If you’re willing to put up with that, you’ll be rewarded with one of the best dives around.

DIVE DESCRIPTION (Left side wall): Normans isn’t a deep dive. 30 to 40 feet is about as deep as you’re gonna find. The real benefit to this dive is that it’s so difficult not many people try to dive here regularly. It also has some of the best rock structures underwater for lobsters and other creatures to be hiding in. Visibility is often very good here. There are also an endless number of headings you can follow to have a unique interesting dive.
PARKING: There is a small lot here that can fit a few cars. The legality of parking here was an issue a few years back but recently it’s been fine. There are a large number of fishermen that use the rocks here to fish from. They also use the lot so be courteous to them and parking shouldn’t be an issue.
