More divers learn how to dive in New England to catch lobster than for any other reason. What most divers don’t know is how difficult it is to actually catch legal lobsters. It takes many years to develop the skill needed to quickly locate lobsters, identify size, safely grip the lobster and remove it from its den without damaging it. This is why most new lobster divers usually only come out of the water with a few lobsters, even on a good day. The ECD staff that teaches the hunting and collecting program average 7+ lobsters on most dives during lobster season. We have a ton of experience catching lobsters.
This class teaches you all the tips and techniques to have the best chance of catching more lobster on every dive. Other subjects covered in the course includes scalloping spearfishing techniques. The classes can be catered to the specific interests of the class
