Paul Adler is the president and original owner of East Coast Divers. He is very involved with the day to day operations and instruction that happens throughout the store. He has certified thousands of divers and continues to teach to this day. Paul has been operating diving businesses including travel, sales, repairs, charters, and instruction since the early 70's for dive centers all over Massachusetts.
Paul became a certified scuba diver at the Lawton Oklahoma YMCA in 1965. A short time later he became a NAUI instructor in 71' when the sport was still very young, in fact his instructor number was 1995. Paul opened East Coast Divers in 74' and is still at the same location in Brookline. Paul expanded and became a PADI instructor in 89' as well as getting his cave certification that same year. Becoming more interested in more advanced styles of diving, Paul became one of the first nitrox instructors in Massachusetts and also hosted the first nitrox course in the state. By 93' Paul was certified as a trimix diver and East Coast Divers became the premeire New England facility for nitrox, trimix and argon fills.
Currently Paul is an instructor certifier for SSI with over 5000 dives worldwide. He has guided over 100 trips to locations all over the world. Paul has a passion for all sorts of diving especially wreck diving and photography for which he loves to share his knowledge.
