Q: Do I ever have to renew my scuba certification
A: Scuba certification is for life. That being said you must stay active for your certification to last forever. If it has been one to five years since you have been diving, a refresher course is recommended before going diving. This course can generally be completed in a 2 hour pool session for as little as $60. If it has been as long as 10 years or greater, it is often recommended that you take the open water course again due to the vast changes in the equipment used.
