Marblehead Light
AKA (chandler-hovey state park)

Marblehead is located just south of Cape Ann. It is a lesser known site due to it's "no divers" policy during weekends and holidays May - October on account of boat traffic. But for weekdays and off season it is a great dive. There is a paved parking lot near the entrance, which is a ramp of large rocks similar to many local sites. the entry is usually calm in light seas. depths can reach up to 50' feet depending on where and how far you swim. Abundant with sealife and on the off season there are scallops at the green buoy between the entrace and island. BEWARE OF CURRENTS!! It is a channel and at mid tide the water is too fast to swim against. We have seen divers end up adrift... be careful.
